Identifying pernicious anemia
Pernicious anemia is a condition which is caused by
a lack of intrinsic factor. This is a protein which is
produced in the stomach and is responsible
for the absorption of Vitamin B12. Vitamin B12
injections are ordered by the doctor and given for
the rest of the patient's life.( See image above).
