BLOOD TRANSFUSION REACTION

GUYS,

WHEN YOU TRANSFUSE BLOOD DO YOU INSTRUCT YOUR PATIENTS HOW TO IDENTIFY A REACTION?
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT AS A BLOOD TRANSFUSION REACTION (Sessions 11)
MAY BE FATAL.
IF YOUR PATIENT SHOULD DEVELOP A REACTION:
- STOP BLOOD AT ONCE ,USING THE CLAMP CLOSEST TO THE PATIENT.
- INFUSE NORMAL SALINE
- SAVE BLOOD AND TUBING FOR LAB. ANALYSIS
- MONITOR VITAL SIGNS AND NOTIFY MD AT ONCE.
