FIBROMYALGIA AND ARTHRITIS

Fibromyalgia is identified as a nervous
system condition,which is chronic. It
affects both muscles and joints. 

Pain is common, as well as tenderness
and stiffness.Diagnostic tests such as: 
thyroid studies , CBC and ESR would
likely be done.

Physical therapy and an exercise regimen, is
included in the plan of care.

Scenario: In the image above, Mrs.M sustained 
a fracture of the neck of the femur. ORIF (Open
Reduction Internal Fixation) of her hip fracture
was done in the Operating Room.
