What is DIC?

DIC (Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation) is 
a clotting disorder that is initiated by some other
underlying condition.

What causes DIC?
 DIC may be caused for many reasons. Some of the
 causes may include: sepsis, renal failure, trauma,
and abruptio placenta.

What are some ways to diagnose DIC?
Diagnostic tests include: PT/ PTT and
Fibrinogen.
