-FOLLOW MD ORDERS
- CHECK THE FINGERS OR TOES FOR PULSES,WARMTH AND COLOR.
- CHECK FOR MOVEMENT, SWELLING AND PAIN.
- MONITOR AND REPORT INCREASED SWELLING, LOSS OF SENSATION AND COOLNESS AS THESE ARE WARNING SIGNS OF POOR CIRCULATION.
- ACT FAST TO REPORT ANY UNUSUAL FINDINGS AS THIS MAY RESULT IN UNNECESSARY AMPUTATION OF A LIMB.
- ALSO REMEMBER TO ELEVATE THE AFFECTED EXTREMITY ON PILLOWS AS THIS WILL HELP TO REDUCE SWELLING.
