SPINAL SHOCK / SPINAL CORD INJURY
Scenario:The young lady in the image above, 
fell off her horse. She sustained a spinal injury.
 Spinal shock may be caused by hyperextension
 or hyperflexion of the spinal column.Vasogenic 
shock may also occur, leading to vasodilation
 of the blood vessels, hypotension and bradycardia.
Central cord syndrome typically involves the central
 part of the spinal cord. This unusual phenomenon
 causes weakness of the upper extremities and minimal 
or no weakness of the lower extremities.
